We are starting with one rescued chair.

1001 Chairs began with a simple objection: beautiful old furniture should not be thrown away. The project rescues chairs and other small furniture, restores them, sells them locally, and donates the proceeds to help get kids off the street.

Eventually, the dream is to teach young people how to restore furniture themselves — turning discarded objects into practical skills, confidence, and support for a home.
